The Town of White Springs operates under a Council-Manager form of government, established and governed by the 2012 Town Charter. The Charter defines:
- Town boundaries and incorporation status
- Composition and election of the Town Council
- Duties of the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and Council Members
- Appointment and powers of the Town Manager
- Budget, finance, and audit requirements
- Procedures for filling vacancies and removal from office
