Trash & Recycling Tips

Best practices to keep collection safe and efficient.

  • Place all bags and recyclables into carts; carefully bag and tie all waste.
  • Keep lids closed to prevent littering; rinse and dry containers before placing in recycling.
  • Place carts curbside on time, retrieve them quickly, and wipe down handles & lids after collection.
  • No medical sharps or syringes in recycling. Use a rigid plastic container labeled “SHARPS,” seal tightly, and place in trash.
