Community Vigil for Opioid Awareness and Support
NorthStar Family Resource Center (NSFRC) invites community members, families, service providers, faith-based organizations, first responders, educators, and local leaders to a Community Vigil for Opioid Awareness and Support.
The vigil will raise awareness about substance misuse, honor lives lost to overdose, and promote hope, recovery, and prevention resources within our community.
Purpose of the Vigil
- Increase community awareness about opioid and other substance use and overdose prevention
- Provide education and access to local prevention and recovery resources
- Support families and individuals affected by addiction
- Promote collaboration among community partners
- Encourage healing, remembrance, and hope
Ways to Participate
Organizations and community groups are welcome to host an informational resource table, share educational materials or recovery resources, offer brief remarks, sponsor candles or refreshments, or volunteer to help with event coordination.
