Precautionary Boil Water Notice

In effect · Issued October 5, 2026

Do not drink the water without boiling it first, or use bottled water.

Who this affects

Residents of the Town of White Springs living in the area bounded by Osceola Street, Norris Rd., 161st Ave., SE 103rd Terr., SE CR 25A, and 160th Place.

What happened

A loss of water pressure has been experienced due to a water main break.

What to do

  • Bring all water to a rolling boil for at least 3 minutes and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.
  • Use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
  • Discard all stored water, drinks, or ice made from this supply during this period.

Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Residents concerned about the safety of their water may use other sources of drinking water, such as bottled water.

How long it lasts

This notice remains in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink and water quality has been restored. This page will be updated when the notice is lifted.
