About the Park

Located on the banks of the Suwannee River in White Springs, Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park honors the memory of composer Stephen Collins Foster, whose song “Old Folks at Home” made the Suwannee River famous worldwide.

The park features a 97-bell carillon tower — one of the largest tubular bell instruments in the world — along with museums, craft demonstrations by Florida artisans, nature trails through river hardwood hammock, and full-facility camping. Each Memorial Day weekend, the park hosts the legendary Florida Folk Festival, one of the nation’s oldest continuous folk festivals.
