About White Springs
Florida’s first tourist attraction — a peaceful Hamilton County town on the upper Suwannee River.
White Springs is a small, historic town in Hamilton County, Florida, on the banks of the Suwannee River. Once a fashionable Victorian-era health resort drawing visitors from across the Southeast, the town today is best known for its folk music heritage, its parks and natural beauty, and a tight-knit community.
The river offers opportunity for the boating enthusiast, the canoeist, and divers. Many enjoy simply floating along the riverbanks, fishing for red-bellies, brim, mullet, and catfish. Divers come from all over the country to dive in the many springs that spawn off the Suwannee River and explore the caves.
When you get here, take advantage of the beautiful, rural scenery and our friendly little town, where pride in family and community create a wonderful quality of life.
